How to play Bunny Hop

Bunny Hop is a free 2D side-scrolling platform game you can play in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone — no download and no account. You are a bunny running home across the countryside. Run forward or back, jump over rocks, logs and holes, hop onto floating ledges, and collect the carrots along the way. Reach the burrow at the end of each level to go on to the next one, which is longer and trickier.

Controls

On a keyboard, run with the left and right arrows or A and D, and jump with Space, the up arrow or W. Hold the jump to hop higher, or tap it for a little hop. You can still jump for a split second after running off an edge, and a jump pressed just before you land is remembered. Press P or Esc to pause. On a phone or tablet, use the Back, Jump and Forward buttons under the screen, or put a finger on the left or right half of the screen to run and a second finger anywhere to jump.

Dangers

• Holes — fall in and you lose a life, then start again on the ground just before it.
• Hedgehogs roll back and forth. Touch one and you lose a life; jump over them.
• Bees appear from level 2 and hover up and down over the path. Time your run under or over them.

Carrots, lives and levels

Every carrot is worth 10 points, and every 50 carrots give you an extra life (up to five). You start with three lives. Getting home to the burrow scores 500 points times the level, plus a bonus for being quick. The bar at the top left of the screen shows how far you are from home. Your best score is remembered in this browser on this device only.
