Hit the road, dodge everything
Road Rush is a fast top-down racer in your browser. Weave through traffic, steer around cones, barriers and oil, grab the coins, and see how far you get as the road speeds up.
How to play Road Rush
Road Rush is a free car racing game you can play in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone — no download and no account. Your green car drives up a three-lane road while slower traffic, traffic cones, striped barriers and oil slicks come towards you. Steer between them, pick up coins, and keep going: the road gets faster the further you drive.
Controls
On a keyboard, steer with the left and right arrows (or A and D). Hold the up arrow or W to boost and the down arrow or S to brake. Press P or Esc to pause. On a phone or tablet, hold the Left, Right, Brake and Boost buttons under the road, or simply put a finger on the road and the car steers towards it.
Lives, coins and score
You have three lives. Hitting a car, a cone or a barrier costs one, slows you down, and makes your car flash for a moment while nothing can hit it. Driving over oil does not cost a life, but the car skids sideways for a moment, so leave room. Every meter you drive is a point and every coin is worth 50 more. Boosting covers distance faster, which means more points — and less time to react. Your best score is remembered in this browser on this device only.
Tips
- There is always a way through: no row of traffic blocks every lane.
- Brake early when two lanes are blocked and the gap is far away.
- Look further up the road than the car in front of you — the next row is already on its way.
- Save boosting for an empty stretch.
