Rise, dive and fire torpedoes
Deep Dive is an endless submarine run in your browser. The sea never stops moving: rise and dive past rocky spires, caves, mines and sharks, clear the way with your torpedoes, and come up for air before the tank runs dry.
How to play Deep Dive
Deep Dive is a free endless submarine game you can play in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone — no download and no account. The sea scrolls past all the time, a little faster as you go. Steer your submarine up and down to slip past rocky spires and through narrow caves, dodge or torpedo whatever swims in your way, and see how far you can get.
Controls
On a keyboard, hold the up arrow or W to blow the ballast and rise, and the down arrow or S to dive; let go and the submarine slowly settles. Press Space or J to fire a torpedo straight ahead. Press P or Esc to pause, M for sound and N for music. On a phone or tablet, use the Rise, Fire and Dive buttons, or put a finger on the sea — the submarine steers to its depth — and tap with a second finger to fire.
Torpedoes
You carry five torpedoes. They fire one at a time with a short reload, and the rack slowly refills itself — one every four seconds — so do not waste them. Torpedo crates in the water add three more.
What is down there
- Mines float on chains off the seabed. One torpedo, 50 points.
- Sharks swim at you, weaving up and down. One torpedo, 100 points.
- Jellyfish drift up and down, and torpedoes pass straight through them — steer round.
- Enemy submarines appear after 1,500 m and fire back. Two torpedoes, 250 points.
- Rocks — the seabed, spires and cave ceilings — always leave a way through, but bumping them hurts.
Air
Your air runs down the whole time you are under water — a full tank lasts about 30 seconds — and only fills up again at the surface: steer all the way up until the gauge turns green and refills, which takes a few seconds. You cannot reach the surface inside a cave, so keep an eye on the gauge before you go in. Bubbles of air in the water give 30% back. A warning sounds at 25%; run out completely and the hull takes a hit, then another every three seconds until you come up.
Hull, pearls and score
Your hull takes three hits; each one leaves you flashing and safe for a moment, and a repair kit puts one back. Every metre you travel scores a point, pearls add 25, and every 500 m begins a new zone. Your best score is remembered in this browser on this device only.
