How to play Ring Dash
Ring Dash is a free, fast 2D platform game you can play in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone — no download and no account. You are Dash, a speedy armadillo racing across a sunny desert canyon. The longer you run, the faster you go. Jump gaps and spikes, bounce on springs up to high ledges, roll through beetles and buzzers, and collect the gold rings on your way to the signpost at the end of each level.
Controls
On a keyboard, run with the left and right arrows or A and D, and jump with Space, the up arrow or W — hold it for a higher jump. Hold the down arrow or S while running to curl into a ball and keep rolling. Press P or Esc to pause, M for sound and N for music. On a phone or tablet, use the Back, Roll, Jump and Forward buttons under the screen, or put a finger on the left or right half of the screen to run and a second finger anywhere to jump.
Rings are your shield
Every ring is worth 10 points. If a beetle, a buzzer or spikes hit you while you are holding rings, you drop them — they scatter and you have a few seconds to grab them back — but you keep your life. Hit with no rings at all, or falling into a gap, costs a life. Every 100 rings you collect is an extra life (up to five). You start with three.
Smash, bounce and finish
- Jump or roll into beetles and buzzers to knock them out for 100 points; landing on one bounces you back up.
- Springs launch you high into the air, usually up to a ledge full of rings.
- Spikes hurt whether you are rolling or not — jump over them.
- The signpost ends the level: 10 points for every ring you are holding, 500 points times the level, and a bonus for being quick.
Each level is laid out fresh and is longer than the last, with buzzers joining in from level 2. Your best score is remembered in this browser on this device only.
