How to play Tank Battle

Tank Battle is a free top-down tank game you can play in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone — no download and no account. You command a tank at the bottom of an arena of brick and steel walls while enemy tanks roll in from the gates at the top. Knock them all out to clear the wave, and hold the field as long as you can.

Controls

On a keyboard, drive forward and back with W and S (or the up and down arrows) and turn the hull with A and D (or left and right). The turret turns on its own to follow the mouse, so you can drive one way and shoot another. Hold Space or the mouse button to fire. Press P or Esc to pause. On a phone or tablet, drive with the buttons under the field and put a finger on the field to aim and fire there.

Enemy tanks

• Light tanks are fast and reload quickly, but go down in one hit. 100 points.
• Medium tanks take two hits and hit harder. 200 points.
• Heavy tanks are slow, take four hits and have the biggest gun. 400 points, and they always leave a crate.

Walls, armor and crates

Brick walls crumble after two shells — yours or the enemy's — so cover does not last for ever. Steel walls stop everything. Your tank has 100 hit points (HP); every hit takes some away and the game ends at zero. Clearing a wave scores a bonus and repairs 20 HP. Destroyed tanks sometimes leave a crate: a repair kit (+35 HP), rapid reload for eight seconds, or extra armor that takes the next hit for you. Each wave brings more tanks, and more of them heavy. Your best score is remembered in this browser on this device only.
